1 View of Heaven…

Filed under: Thoughts from Chuckie — chuckie @ 12:21 am

Fellow passengers, have you ever wondered, “WHAT HAPPENS IN HEAVEN…?”

Here’s a little something that I hope you will ask folks to hop aboard the train today and take a look.

Someone once dreamt that they went to Heaven and an angel was showing them around.

Here’s the story:

We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels. My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, ‘This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received.’

I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.

Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.

The angel then said to me, ‘This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them. ‘I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.

Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. ‘This is the Acknowledgment Section,’ my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed ‘How is it that there is no work going on here?’ I asked.

‘So sad,’ the angel sighed. ‘After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments.’

‘How does one acknowledge God’s blessings?’ I asked.

‘Simple,’ the angel answered. Just say, ‘Thank you, Lord.’

‘What blessings should they acknowledge?’  I asked.

‘If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.’

‘And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity.’

‘If you woke up this morning with more health than illness …. you are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.’

‘If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation … you ! a re ahead of 700 million people in the world..’

‘If you can attend a church without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion people in the world.’

‘If your parents are still alive and still married …you are very rare.’

‘If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you’re unique to all those in doubt and despair.’

Ok, what now? How can I start?

If you rode the Train today and could read this post, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.

Have a good day, count your blessings,

Just A Little Sumthin 2 Remember…

Filed under: Thoughts from Chuckie — chuckie @ 3:09 am

As we walk our path of life, We meet people everyday.  Most are simply met by chance. But, some are sent our way.  These become special friends Whose bond we can’t explain; The ones who understand us

And share our joy and pain.
Their love contains no boundaries.
So, even when we are apart.
Their presence enhances us
With a warmth felt in the heart.

This love becomes a passageway,
When even the miles disappear.
And so, these friends, God sends our way,

And have a great weekend….

Dealing With The Burdens of Life…

Filed under: Thoughts from Chuckie — chuckie @ 4:06 am

Must be a sign of old age or something, but more and more I am learning to step back and laugh at myself sometimes. I keep remembering what the bible says…Who amongst you can add one more day to your life by worrying.

So, my fellow LifeTrain passengers hows about we try to do the following today:

Accept that some days we’re the pigeon, and some days we’re the statue.
Try to keep our words soft and sweet, just in case we have to eat them.
Let’s read stuff that will make us look good in case we die in the middle of it.
Let’s Drive carefully. It’s not only cars that can be recalled by their Maker.
If we can’t be kind, at least let’s have the decency to be vague.
It might be our sole purpose in this life is to simply serve as a warning to others.

Let’s try to keep from putting both feet in our mouth at the same time today, because then we won’t have a leg to stand on.

I just realized, nobody cares if we can’t dance well; just get up and dance, shoot if all else fails, do the “CHUCKIE”.

GUESS WHAT! The second mouse gets the cheese.
If today is your Birthday remember,Birthdays are good for you; the more you have, the longer you live.
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once. and lastly….

A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Hey LifeTrain Passengers…Have an awesome day !

Thank you to all of you who lent your moral support to me and my family during this time, the Death of my Grand-ma.  Your love and care was “SO” needed and I just simply want to say thank you.  Please know that all is well and I will elaborate on everything once I touch-down at home base again.

Much Love and hugs!

Today We Lay Our Angel To Rest…Please pray for my family

Filed under: Thoughts from Chuckie — chuckie @ 12:55 am

Dear passengers,

I am in Ohio to bury my dearly beloved Grandmother. Typically, I try not to personalize the daily Train ride. However, I gotta ask…Please pray for my family and myself as we bury my sweet grandma who has gone on to rest in her reward with the Lord. As I write this I have yet to see the body she has left behind. Frankly, it’s going to take all that the Lord will give me to get through. But, Hey…My Grandmother knew the Lord and she is at this time in a much better place then this earth we continue to walk on. This past week I have seen the “BEST” out of those around me. I want to say thank you to all of you for the heart felt concern, calls and even some of you who offered to hop a plane to be with me. Now just how loved do I feel!! I will never forget you!

I am slated to speak at the funeral. Please pray that I get through it, delivering the message my Grandmother asked me to give before she left me…alone in a world so cold….

Merry Monday! Here’s an offer, from me 2 U!

Filed under: Thoughts from Chuckie — chuckie @ 5:26 am

Fellow passengers. I want to share a revelation with you that I had this weekend, one that I hope you will consider as well. This week, as you think of how to start the week out, “Merry”…if you will, consider this as you leave the train today. Free yourself from forcing, expecting or wanting someone to receive what you think they should take - it could be your idea, opinion, or an opportunity you think they should accept - you can’t make anyone take anything - your own experience probably confirms this. Offer humbly. Offer gently. Offer as if you are a master, and then let go, and retire like a shy child. When you can dance the dance between being master and child, we might be surprised how much more others will accept what we have to say, and how much more they appreciate our offerings. …and again, “Merry Monday!”.

… AND THEN THE FIGHT STARTED…

Filed under: Thoughts from Chuckie — chuckie @ 6:06 am

When I got home last night, my gurl demanded that I take her someplace expensive… so, I took her to a gas station…

And then the fight started….

After retiring, I went to the Social Security office to apply for Social
Security. The woman behind the counter asked me for my driver’s license
to verify my age. I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my
wallet at home. I told the woman that I was very sorry, but I would have
to go home and come back later.

The woman said, ‘Unbutton your shirt’. So I opened my shirt revealing my
curly silver hair.

She said, ‘That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me’ and
she processed my Social Security application.

When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the
Social Security office.

She said, ‘you should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten
disability, too.’

And then the fight started…

My wife and I were sitting at a table at my high school reunion, and I
kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a
nearby table.

My wife asked, ‘Do you know her?’

‘Yes,’ I sighed, ‘She’s my old girlfriend. I understand she took to
drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she
hasn’t been sober since.’

‘My God!’ says my wife, ‘who would think a person could go on
celebrating that long?’

And then the fight started…

I rear-ended a car this morning. So, there we were alongside the road
and slowly the other driver got out of his car. You know how sometimes
you just get soooo stressed and little things just seem funny?

Yeah, well I couldn’t believe it… he was a DWARF!!!

He stormed over to my car, looked up at me, and shouted, ‘I AM NOT
HAPPY!!!’

So, I looked down at him and said, ‘Well, then which one are you?’

And then the fight started…
