I want to believe that anything is possible.
I want to be oblivious to the complexities of life
and be overly excited by the little things again.

I want to live simple again.
I don’t want my day to consist of computer crashes,
mountains of paperwork,
depressing news,
how to survive more days in the month
than there is money in the bank,
doctor bills,
gossip,
illness,
and the loss of loved ones.

I want to believe in the power of smiles, hugs,
and a kind word;
truth,
justice,
peace,
dreams,
imagination,
and mankind,

So . . . here’s my checkbook and my car-keys,
my credit card bills and my 401K statements.

I am officially resigning from adulthood.
And if you want to discuss this further,
you’ll have to catch me first, cause……..

Hey, I hate to go deep but then this site is not all about the fun stuff. I heard something today during my commute on the radio that made me take note. I would like to ask those of you who will actually bless me by becoming a part of the maturation of this blog and radio show to do something for me. I recently saw the movie “Crash”. There was a part in the movie when one of the characters, Terrence Howard, was faced with a life and death, “how do I protect my woman” situation. I won’t say anymore in case you have not seen the movie. Now, I am very serious about this question. What or how would you have expected your man or husband to react to what the officer (hint) did? I often ponder just how that should have turned out… It was deep! I want to hear both gender perspectives. Also, if you’d like to be on this or a future panel discussion…chuckie@chuckiedaniel.com.
