Hey Passengers…
All together now! MERRY MONDAY!
I was thinking about some of my struggles this past year, and one of the biggest was seeing the splinter in someone else’s eye while ignoring the plank in my own. Having reflected on this I recall what Jesus said…let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
I decided to come up with the 2009 word of the year for the LiFeTrain and the winner is, but first, my message is here, love the person, hate the sin, for we ALL have fallen short of his glory…and now…envelope please…The 2009 word is:
tol·er·ance /ˈtÉ’lÉ™rÉ™ns/ Pronunciation Key – Show Spelled Pronunciation[tol-er-uhns] Pronunciation Key – Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun
1. a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward those whose opinions, practices, race, religion, nationality, etc., differ from one’s own; freedom from bigotry.
“WE”, the passengers who ride daily have the power to tolerate anyone and any situation. But tolerance is not just suffering in silence. It means going beyond any personal discomfort we may feel, and giving a gift to whom ever we would tolerate. As part of Chuckie’s Challenge for 2009 (…MORE LATER) give your time, attention, understanding, compassion, care – all are gifts, which paradoxically, you also receive in the process of giving.
And, as you do, you will experience your own self esteem and inner strength grow. In this way you can turn tolerance into strength.
This year, in 2009…Let’s love this year without limits…
ps. This was also the word of the year for 2008…it’s a two time winner!
Happy New Year to ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cant wait to see what this years challenge will be.
